The most powerful manifestation technique is visualization.
There are many manifestation tools out there that work, but I have to say the most powerful one of them all is visualization.
Visualization is the act of experiencing your desire(s). Yep, it really is that simple.
Now, the process of how you choose to visualize may vary from person to person.
Because this is based on your specific dreams and goals (which may also change throughout your life), the way you go about visualizing can vary.
Here’s what generally stays the same for most people, though:
- Pick a quiet place
- Close your eyes
- Take a few deep breaths
- Start to imagine what it is you want
So now that you know the basics about the most powerful manifestation technique, let’s get into why it’s the most powerful and more importantly how to use it to your advantage!
I also included a straightforward guide to manifesting as well as 20+ amazing manifesting techniques that work just for you.
How Does Visualization Work?
The art of visualization is simple, but the effects that it has are incredible!
Yes, it is just you imagining something but it’s actually deeper than that. When you visualize over and over again you will start to create neural pathways in your mind.
This process is called neuroplasticity which essentially means you are training your mind to function in a way it did not function before.
According to Oxford Academic, “Other neural pathways are created through experience, learning, or injury.”
Some examples of neuroplasticity in everyday life include learning a new language, how to ride a bike, and even becoming a smoker.
Visualizing your goals is another way to create neural pathways because you are taking time each day to experience your goals.
Studies have actually shown that when you imagine your goals, there is similar brain activity as if you had physically done it. So in other words, your brain responds to it the same way as if you had experienced it.
The more you do it, the more likely you are to achieve it because you are training your mind to have it.
Now don’t confuse this with manifesting something. Because I will dive into the real definition of manifesting and the difference between manifesting, the law of attraction, and visualization later.
The takeaway here is that visualization is the most powerful manifestation technique because it strengthens and trains your mind to have what you want. It is essentially the art of aligning yourself with what you want.
“Many successful people are crediting the act of visualization as the secret to their success.” according to Better Help.
I do this myself, and I can attest to how this is the best manifestation technique works wonders.
Top 21 Most Effective Manifestation Methods, Tools, and Tips
Now that you know what the most powerful manifestation technique is and how powerful it can be, let’s get into some more manifestation tools and tips to help you on your journey.
Please do not use all of these at once.
That is going to quickly lead to burnout. I recommend taking about 2 to 5 of these techniques and giving each one a fair shot.
You will notice that a lot of these go hand in hand so it is feasible to do a few at a time.
It may take you a few techniques to find which one works the best for you and that’s totally okay. It’s actually to be expected.
If you need a place to start, the best manifestation technique that works for me (aside from visualization) is journaling. My other preferred methods of manifestation are practicing regular self-care, saying positive affirmations, and using a vision board.
However, I also like to switch things up because we all need variety, right?
Anyway, I break down how all of these manifestation methods and tips work so you can figure out which one works best for you!
Best Manifestation Techniques That Work
1. Journaling
The first to make the list of the most powerful manifestation techniques is journaling.
Journaling can vary depending on the person and the intention. However, the one thing that remains the same is the fact that you’re writing down what you feel/want.
Writing is a powerful tool in general because it allows you to:
- Organize your thoughts
- Adopt a clear mind space
- Sort through your emotions
- Help increase your focus and memory (without having the fear of someone judging you)
Writing in itself gives you time to really think about what you’re dealing with and helps you arrive at the best solutions possible.
When you’re able to improve your focus and get a clear head, you’re better able to achieve your goals.
2. Get Specific About Your Desire
You don’t want to manifest just anything, so you need to get specific about what you want.
Let’s say you want to manifest your soulmate.
You do all the right things; you recite affirmations to attract a specific person, visualize yourself in a relationship, and genuinely believe you will receive what you want.
And you do. You wind up getting into a relationship.
But you soon find out that this relationship is absolutely nothing like you thought it would be.
Why did this happen even though you did everything right?
Because you were not specific about what you truly wanted. You get what you ask for, and if you leave certain things out then don’t expect them to come your way.
You’ve gotta be specific. For this example, you want to ask yourself questions such as:
- What morals and values are important to me?
- What do I need most in a relationship?
- Am I able to show up for a partner right now?
- What do I value most in a partner?
3. Use A Vision Board
Vision boards are another powerful manifestation technique that works wonders.
I have personally gotten everything on my vision board this year, so when I tell you this works, it works.
Plus, they’re fun to make and cheap to finance.
All I did was get two $1 blackboards from Dollar General. I picked out my pictures from Pinterest, printed them off at CVS, bought double-sided tape, and placed them where I wanted to go on the board.
I took clear thumb tacks and put the vision board on the wall in my room; although, you can place the vision board anywhere where you’ll look at it.
I also did mine with my sister, but you can do it alone as well!
Either way, it will be fun.
4. Say Positive Affirmations
Positive affirmations are another great way to help you attract or create your goals. They’re very simple, free, and quick to use.
I recommend saying them at least once a day each day and using visualization either before or after repeating your affirmations.
This combination is one of the most powerful manifestation technique that has worked for me and countless others.

5. Say Your Affirmations In The Present Tense
If/when you use your affirmations, I suggest using them in the present moment because it makes the experience feel more real.
When you talk about things happening “one day” or in the future, it feels further away from you.
But when you talk about things as if they are already happening or have already happened, they feel more real.
This is more than likely due to what we were talking about earlier. Imagining an experience triggers the same brain activity as actually experiencing it.
6. Make It A Habit To Consider Yourself And Your Goals
This is an important step in manifestation because how are you going to reach your goals if you keep putting yourself and your priorities last?
Many of us can relate to falling victim to putting ourselves last.
I get it. You want to be there for those who need you, but at some point, you have to ask yourself:
- Who is going to be there for me?
- And how am I going to pour from an empty cup?
You can’t.
You have to make time for yourself and your goals. Learning how to say “no” is one of the best things you can do for your future self.
A full 180 is not necessary but putting yourself first here and there (at the very least) is necessary.
7. Practice Staying In The Present Moment
To create a change in your life you have to change within. And the only time you can make a real change is in the present moment.
The past is the past and the future is based on right now.
So, being stuck in the past or worrying about the future doesn’t do anything for you.
If you’re not looking back on the past to reflect, then why are you looking back there?
And if your true power lies in the present moment, there is no need to worry about the future.
Focus on what you can control, do what you can today, and let the rest of it go.

8. Practice Gratitude
Gratitude is arguably the best manifestation technique because when you are finding things to be grateful for you are doing two things.
- You’re putting yourself in the mindset of having something to be grateful for
- You’re training yourself to find things to be grateful for
Because the law of attraction states that what you focus on is what you get, then by that standard you will inevitably find more and more things to be grateful for.
This also goes hand in hand with saying your affirmations in the present moment because you could start to incorporate some of your desires and state that you’re grateful for “insert desire”.
This not only helps your mind experience this as something being real but it also helps you tap into feelings of joy.
The best way to start incorporating gratitude is by writing down 3 things you’re grateful for each morning.
Pro Tip: Try to find new things to be grateful for each day.
9. Practice Meditation
Meditation is the art of mastering your focus and the ability to center yourself. Typically you want to:
- Find a quiet space,
- Set a timer (I would start with no less than 3 minutes if you’re new)
- Close your eyes
- Breathe in deeply through your nose, hold for 4 seconds, and breathe out slowly through your mouth (don’t push the air out just let it release naturally)
When your mind starts to wander, shift your focus back to your breath.
This will be something that you will have to continue to do until it becomes natural to you.
According to Mindful.org, the benefits of mediation include:
- Improving your focus
- Reducing the excessive noise in your mind
- Lowering your stress
- Getting a better understanding of your emotions
Meditation is arguably one of the most powerful manifestation technique as well.
10. Exercising
Exercising may not directly affect your manifestation unless your goal is fitness-related, but it does tie into self-care which directly affects your manifestation.
Any form of exercise will do here.
The main thing you want to get out of this is taking care of your body because your health is more important than anything.
Some forms of exercise include:
- Yoga
- Running
- Swimming
- Playing a sport
- Dancing
- Walking for [15 min 3x a week article link here]
- Riding bikes
11. Surround Yourself With People You Look Up To/Inspire/Are Inspired By
When you think about your desires and how to manifest it into existence you may think the people around you don’t have that much of an effect on you, but they do.
You know what they always say; birds of a feather flock together.
You are who you surround yourself with, and if you surround yourself with broke, low-vibrational people then what do you think you will become?
Even if you do use the best manifestation technique, it won’t matter because you are wasting your valuable time and energy on people who aren’t helping or inspiring you.
Do yourself a favor and remove yourself from the places that no longer serve you.
12. Write Down Your Goals Before Bed
Writing down your goals before bed is a great way to keep your goals at the front of your mind and clear your headspace from unimportant things.
This can also help with racing thoughts and getting rid of limiting beliefs.
According to Psychology Today, “Writing one’s thoughts down in a journal before bed can help people recognize negative thoughts and behaviors, and find ways to deal with them.”
13. Write Down Your Top Priorities In The Morning
Another great time of the day to write down your thoughts is in the morning.
While this may not be the most powerful manifestation technique, it is still very beneficial.
I have found that specifically, writing down your top priorities in the morning can help set up your day for success and promote productivity.
14. Practice The 369 Manifestation Techniques
The 396 method is writing down what you want to manifest:
- 3 times in the morning
- 6 times during the day
- 9 times in the evening
This normally takes place in your journal, and the purpose is to use the law of attraction by focusing on what you want to manifest throughout the day.
I will tell you, I don’t use this manifestation method because realistically I’m not going to remember to keep up with that every day.
However, I have seen that this technique has worked for others so I wanted to share it with you!
15. Remain Open-Minded
One of the important yet subtle methods of manifestation is remaining open-minded.
This is because it leaves you open to more and better opportunities. It also helps with letting go of the outcome, which is another important step to manifestation.
Letting go of the outcome is crucial because when you rigidly hold onto your desires you’re coming from a place of stress/desperation.
When you come from a place of stress or desperation, you get desperate results because remember you are what you attract.
Remain open-minded, trust that you will receive what you asked for, and the rest will fall in line.

16. Practicing Acceptance
Practicing acceptance goes hand in hand with remaining open-minded but the difference is that you can see something but not necessarily accept it.
You want to be able to acknowledge and be willing to accept because again we go back to the point of coming from a place of desperation.
When you are rigid and inflexible, you will live a rigid life. What is a rigid life?
A life where you have no room to do anything you truly want to do, including being yourself.
Make the effort to accept the things you cannot change so you can have more time to change the things you can.
17. Practice Regular Self-Care
A part of putting yourself first is practicing self-care regularly.
Self-Care Ideas:
- Taking a bubble bath
- Treating yourself to a nice dinner
- Taking a vacation
- Getting your nails done
- Doing your hair
- Going out with your friends
Free Self-Care Ideas:
- Reading a good book
- Taking a leisurely walk
- Riding bikes
- Some form of exercise
- Meditating
- Taking a nap
- Talking to your friends or family
- Drinking plenty of water
18. Reading (Especially Manifestation Books)
Reading is one of the most effective manifestation methods because you are not only taking time to disconnect from distractions like social media, but you’re also educating yourself.
Now, reading fictional books is also a great way to unwind, but if you’re looking to get a better understanding of your goals or yourself, self-help books are always awesome.
I do want to advise you though, that there is such a thing as getting analysis paralysis.
What that means is that you have overdone it on the amount of information you’ve consumed, and now you’re so burnt out you can’t do anything.
Take it one book at a time at first, and when you get used to it, then start adding more.

19. Using Essential Oils For Manifesting
If you’re into essential oils then there’s good news because you can use them during your practice of the most powerful manifestation technique (visualization).
Something as simple as using a certain scent on a dollar bill or associating a scent with a certain goal can help you get more detailed while you are visualizing your goals.
This is helpful because anything that can help you make your experience feel more real, the better the outcome will be.
This may not be a manifestation technique that I use, but I’m sure using essential oils for manifesting can be very helpful especially if it’s something you already use!
20. Stay Committed
Accomplishing any goal requires a level of commitment that you once did not have.
You must stay committed and stay on the course because you will have days where you don’t feel inspired or motivated.
These are the days when you want to commit to just 10 minutes of work because I promise you those 10 minutes worth of work will be worth more than not doing anything at all.
Just whatever you do, my friend, do not give up.
21. Stay Optimistic And Realistic
Last but certainly not least, the best manifestation technique is to stay optimistic.
This goes back to not letting negative thinking and limiting beliefs control our lives.
It’s best to stay optimistic and realistic because this is the mindset that will take you further than you would think.
It does no good to have a belief system that does not serve you or even worse holds you back.
Try to challenge those negative thoughts that don’t serve a purpose and continue choosing to be optimistic and realistic at the same time.

The Real Meaning Of Manifesting
To manifest something means to just bring it about into the physical world. It’s that simple.
And the good news is that we’re already doing this whether we realize it or not.
So when we talk about manifesting your goals we’re talking about the best and fastest ways to go about shifting your mind from where you are today to where you want to be.
Because the only way to have a change in your life is to change within and change what you’re focusing on.
Change is not easy, so you want to adopt better habits that will bring you value in the future.
The best way to do that is to start small.
You can try to do a full 180 and commit to a 12-week routine but if you’re like me you’ll get burnt out and not do anything.
We don’t want this. We want to win. Slow and steady wins the race.
The Difference Between Manifestation Vs Affirmation
The difference between manifestation, affirmations, and visualization is this:
- To Manifest= to bring something about into the physical world
- To Affirm= to state something as true
- Affirmations= statements said that you are stating to be true, ideally used to shift your mindset, encourage, or inspire you.
- Visualization= the act of imagining or experiencing your goals/ dreams
The difference between the law of attraction and manifestation is the law of attraction is the principle that you will attract what you constantly and/or intentionally focus on.
Manifestation is the act of you creating something from nothing.
You can manifest:
- Goals
- A new home
- A baby
- Relationships
- Income sources
Some things may take longer than others but you can manifest whatever it is you desire. If your mind can conceive it you can achieve it.
You can use the law of attraction to attract
- A job
- Money
- A specific person
- An opportunity
So, something that already existed.
If You Don’t Believe, Then It Will Not Work
This goes for anything. If you don’t believe something will work, then it won’t.
But when you think about it, it’s funny because it’s just proving the most powerful manifestation technique to be true.
What you focus on is what you get. If you focus on the fact that it doesn’t work then that’s what you’ll get.
The placebo effect even proves this to be true.
A 2014 Study has shown that just the act of expecting a result can have such a great effect on your mind that it can decrease pain levels. And according to the New York Times, another study has shown the placebo effect to play a role in poison ivy reactions.
In the Study conducted in Japan reported by Ikemi and Nakagawa, there were 13 participants who were allergic to poison ivy.
Each student was rubbed on one arm with a leaf from what they were told was a harmless tree, but it was actually poison ivy.
On their other arm, they were rubbed with a leaf from what they were told was a tree they had a poison ivy reaction to, but it was actually the harmless leaf.
The study showed all 13 participants showed a reaction to the harmless leaf, which they were told was poison ivy. Only 2 of the participants had a true reaction to the poison ivy leaf they were told was harmless.
You’ve gotta believe my friends. If you ask and believe you shall receive.
Things That Can Help You Believe
- Challenging the negative thoughts that don’t serve you
- Repeating positive affirmations
- Journaling your fears and stressors
- Accepting that the worst could happen, but focusing on the best possible outcome
- Committing to redirecting overly negative thoughts
How To Deal With Fearful Thinking & Limiting Beliefs
If I told you that you wouldn’t still have doubts and fears I would be lying. You will still face fearful thoughts, limiting beliefs, and doubtful thinking.
The trick is to challenge those thoughts and commit to pushing yourself.
For example, if you think to yourself, “I can’t really make that much money.” ask yourself what is making you believe that it’s not possible.
- Is it the fact that you’ve never seen anyone do it?
- Is it the fact that you’ve never done it before?
Dig deeper.
Another way to deal with fearful thoughts is by doing something that you’ve been telling yourself you can’t do. You have to push yourself outside of your comfort zone. That’s the only place you can grow.
Taking these small steps amount to value over time, and the more you do it the better you get at it.
How To Deal With Anxious Thoughts All The Time
According to HelpGuide, “It’s natural to worry about an unpaid bill, an upcoming job interview, or a first date. But ‘normal’ worry becomes excessive when it’s persistent and uncontrollable.”
If you struggle with having anxious thoughts too much then I want to share something with you that helped me break that cycle.
I had a huge issue with constantly choosing negative thinking and focusing on the worst possible thing that could happen, and if you know how this feels then you know how exhausting and overwhelming this can be.
One thing that helped me break out of this was not only challenging my negative thoughts but also choosing to believe in something more optimistic.
When I learned that what you believe is what you will get, is when things really started to change.
I realized, then, that I have a choice. I don’t have to keep thinking about worrisome thoughts and limiting beliefs.
I can choose to focus on what I want out of life and what is real. And what is real is that my thoughts are not facts and I am merely observing my thoughts. My thoughts are not observing me.
I can notice a thought and let it go. I do not have to hold onto it.
The more I practice this the better I get and I can say that it has truly had a great effect on my mindset.
You have a choice too.
I Recommend A Break From Social Media While Using The Most Powerful Manifestation Technique
I highly recommend a break from social media while using some of the most powerful manifestation techniques because social media is a huge distraction and such a drag.
The entire time you’re on social media you’re looking at what someone else is doing, thinking, buying, saying, or selling to you.
There’s no way around it.
And when you realize what you focus on has a great effect on the outcome of your life, you start to consider what it is you’re focusing on.
At some point in my own journey to manifesting my goals, I realized that social media was greatly wasting my time.
To sit on an app and endlessly scroll does nothing for me; it doesn’t even put me in a better mood. Not to mention, there is no way to avoid the negativity and overconsumption that plagues the social media world.
People living their utmost best lives, eating amazing food, going to amazing places, get rich quick schemes, the prettiest dresses to buy, the best lashes to wear, and the fastest way to make money OR some negative news that I don’t even want to repeat on here.
There is no in between and it’s all just too much.
A social media break for a few weeks will work wonders, I promise.
How To Manifest When You’re In A Negative Environment
Another realistic thing for many of us is that we’re still in an environment that you’re actively working to change.
Even though this is temporary, it doesn’t make it any less of a struggle to deal with sometimes.
Being surrounded by low-vibrational people who bring the mood down can be an uphill battle, but you have to look at it this way: you are learning a skill many people do not master.
You are learning how to deal with complicated people, and complicated people are something you will run across your entire life.
If you can learn how to make your goals a reality when you’re stuck in a temporary environment that is not where you want to be, then you will be unstoppable.
Things To Help You Center Yourself & Gain More Focus
- Meditating for at least 5 minutes
- Finding a place outside of the home where you can find some peace and quiet
- Play background noise/white noise
- Invest in earplugs or noise-canceling headphones
- Go for a walk/run when you feel overwhelmed
- Go to the library to get work done
- Keep a vision board in your space
- When you’re feeling particularly overwhelmed, write about how you’re feeling
Staying Motivated While Using The Most Powerful Manifestation Technique
While you’re using the most powerful manifestation technique and tips, that doesn’t necessarily mean you won’t ever feel unmotivated.
It happens to the best of us.
It’s what you do in those moments of feeling unmotivated that really counts in the grand scheme of things.
Jeff Olsen, author of an incredible book called The Slight Edge, once said “Greatness is always in the moment of the decision.”
Many of us believe that it’s motivation that leads to action, but the truth is it’s the other way around. Action leads to motivation.
There is no way for you to feel motivated 24/7. It’s just not gonna happen. You will have days, weeks, and maybe even months of feeling a bit down or uninspired. That’s okay.
What’s not okay is to do absolutely nothing in those moments. Taking a well-needed break is important, but just completely giving up is not going to cut it.
The smallest actions still grow into something bigger. Even if you commit to 10 minutes, that’s better than nothing.
The trick to staying motivated is to take action!
Final Thoughts On The Most Powerful Manifestation Technique
There are many manifestation tools out there but the most powerful manifestation technique is visualization. The more regularly and consistently you use visualization, the closer and closer you get to your goal.
I have no doubt in my mind that if you were to dedicate the next 4 weeks to visualizing once a day each day you would undoubtedly reach your goals even faster.
I know this to be true for two reasons, one I do it myself, and two there is science to back this point up.
No matter what you choose to do with this information, though, I am grateful that you read this.
If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out (I love hearing from you all!).
Stay safe and until next time my friend.
