- Get Specific About What You Want

- Visualize

How To Manifest A New Job
1. Get Specific About What You Want
First things first, you need to know what you want.
- What kind of job?
- What do you want your role to be at the job?
- How much does your role matter at that job?
- What do you want your job description to look like?
Get specific because this will not only help you get better aligned with the job you want but it will also help you in your job hunt and the interview process.
Getting specific doesn’t mean that you should ruthlessly and rigidly hold onto that job either.
If you come across a job that sounds really good to you but isn’t what you initially thought you wanted, don’t turn it down only because it’s not exactly what you wanted at first because you never know what will come from it.
Don’t be rigid, just get a very good idea of what you want.

2. Get Specific About Why You Want It
When it comes to manifesting something, I normally don’t say this because knowing why you want something usually isn’t as important as knowing what you want.
Sometimes you figure out your why as you take the journey and other times you figure out your why after you’ve already received what you want, but in this case it’s different.
When you’re learning how to manifest a new job, knowing your why will help you get better results.
It can help keep you from just aimlessly switching a job for no real reason and determine if the issue at your job is truly an issue or just a nuisance (and something you can work through).
It can also help you get better aligned with your new job.
Switching your job is somewhat of a big deal because that is where your income comes from, so you want to play this kind of safe.
Figure out what is going on in your current job that is making it so unbearable to the point where you want to leave.
Is it because it is genuinely a major deal to you or is it because your mind is turning something minor into something major?

3. Take Action
Alright so now that we know what we want and why we want it, we need to take action.
Start your job hunt, update your resume, get your interview outfits ready in your mind, and get to work.
Don’t just sit around saying job affirmations and hoping it will just fall into your lap because most of the time it doesn’t work like that.
4. Have Trust And Patience
You’re not going to manifest a new job overnight and you may run into some “No’s” and “Unfortunately, we have decided to move forward with a different candidate” and you know what?
It’s quite alright.
That just simply means that the job wasn’t for you at that time.
You need to have faith and trust that everything will work out the way it’s supposed to and you also need to have enough patience to receive what is meant for you.
Things don’t always happen on your timeline.
Relax, it will work itself out.
Pro Tip: If you’re in desperate need of a job right now, then go get one. Don’t be too prideful to work somewhere because, at the end of the day, a job is a job.
Don’t just sit around broke because you’re waiting for the perfect job. No. You can still work towards your dream job while you’re working somewhere else to pay the bills.
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve done this.

5. Visualize Your New Job
Visualization is simply imagining something; the only difference between daydreaming and visualization is daydreaming is not meant to be intentional and visualization is.
When you visualize you’re doing it with a purpose, which is usually to achieve a goal, rehearse a skill, reduce stress, or simply imagine a successful outcome.
Visualization is meant to be intentional, vivid, and specific, and as you’re visualizing you will usually start to notice some positive feelings arise.
Those feelings will be your motivator and reminder, especially when things get tough.
As you’re using visualization to learn how to manifest a new job, you want to also be specific with your visualization.
- What is the uniform like at your new job? (Can you wear what you want or do you have a uniform)
- Is it an inside or outside job?
- What do you envision your coworkers to be like?
- What does your typical workload look like?
- Where do you plan to take your lunches? (In the breakroom, in your car, at a restaurant)
- How much money will you be making at this new job?
- How much money will you be spending after you get this new job?
Be specific.
Will you have all the answers to these questions? Of course not.
Will the job be exactly like this when you get there? Probably not, but that’s not the point either.
The point is to use those good feelings you get when you imagine your success to keep pushing you forward and make it more likely for you to get what you want.
I have done this for every single job I have ever had, and always got the job.

How To Make It More Likely To Manifest A New Job
1. Align Yourself With The Job You Want
According to the Cambridge Dictionary, aligning yourself with something simply means to associate yourself with it.
So you want to align yourself with the job you want by associating yourself with it, and the best way to do this is by seeing yourself as that person already.
You may have to make some changes to your daily habits to do this.
For example, if you want to manifest being on Wall Street, start associating yourself with those kinds of people.
Study what they do, their day-to-day, their typical attitudes, their diet, and adopt some of their habits in order to align yourself with this.
Notice how I say some of their habits, not all?
That’s because you still need to be you. You bring something to the table that no one else can, so don’t completely strip yourself of your unique identities in the process of doing this.
Life requires balance, and manifestation is no exception to this rule.
Don’t go full obsessive, but do align yourself with what you want (while maintaining a healthy balance).

2. Read Up On The Job Description Thoroughly
The best way for you to receive the job you want is by putting what’s in the job description in your resume, where it actually works and is truthful.
Do not lie.
You can zhuzh something up but don’t flat-out lie.
You dropped out of college…you have college experience
You took a typing class in high school…you have typing skills
You worked at a bakery for 1 month…you have baking experience
But don’t say that you’re a nurse when you know good and well you’re not a nurse. And don’t lie and say you have a degree when you know good and well you don’t.
3. Tighten Up On Necessary Skills
You need to be tightening up your skills in the meantime, especially if you have some time before the interview. This will set you apart from your competition.
If you know the job requires strong typing skills, then you need to get to typing.
If you know the job requires speaking to random people, then you need to start speaking to strangers and breaking that social anxiety now.
Don’t feel like you need to do this for every single point on the job description.
I recommend doing it for the points that are the most important, which you’ll know they’re the most important based on using common sense, talking to someone who works there, or previous experience.
4. See If You Already Know Someone In That Field
Last but not least, knowing someone who is in that field already is going to help you tremendously.
They can provide you with a good recommendation, and may even help you get past the rigorous interviewing process (this has happened to me once before).
I only had to do one small portion of the interview whereas everyone else had to do 2 separate interviews.
Is it fair? No.
Was it easier for me? Absolutely.
If you don’t know anyone in that field, then go out and try to make acquaintances with people in that field. “How am I supposed to find them though?”
Go to google.com and look up, “Where do (insert job) typically eat lunch” or “Where do (insert job) typically hang out” and don’t be afraid to use Reddit either.

A Reminder On Manifesting A New Job
While we have free will and determine a large portion of our lives and happiness, not everything is in our control and sometimes we don’t wind up getting something even though we did everything right.
Does that mean that will happen with this job you want? No. But is there a possibility that you may not get the job? Yes, and if that does happen just know it’s for a reason.
- There could’ve been a really bad manager at the company, or worse, the manager could’ve had a crush on you and made you really uncomfortable.
- That company could shut down within the next 2 years.
- Maybe the drive would’ve done a lot of wear and tear to your car.
Who knows what the reason is, but the point is that everything happens for a reason and sometimes rejection is a blessing in disguise.
Rejection is merely redirection to something meant for you.
The glass is half full, not empty.
Tips For The Interview Process
Now that we know how to manifest a new job and how to be more likely to attract it, I want to share some tips for the interview process before I go.
1. Wear Something Appropriate
-No cleavage
-Solid colors
-Make sure you dress appropriately for the position
-Consider the weather that time of the year or that day
If it’s an office job, business casual/dress to impress. However, if it’s a warehouse, do NOT dress to impress.
When I worked at a warehouse I remember someone telling me they chose not to hire a candidate because they were overly dressed (meaning slacks and a button-down shirt) and didn’t think that position was a good fit for them.
You can wear jeans with a nice shirt (if it’s a warehouse job), but make sure the jeans don’t have any holes or distresses in them.
2. Relax
Remember this is not the end all be all so take the pressure off yourself.
If this job doesn’t work out, something else will so take a deep breath and let go of all that built-up pressure.
Relax your eyebrows, then shoulders, then your upper back, then your lower back, then your abdomen, then your legs, and then your feet.
You’ve got this.
3. Be Yourself
And speaking of relaxing, don’t forget to be yourself. Remember when we talked about not stripping all of your unique qualities? This is your time to shine.
Don’t fake like you’re something you’re not because if you get the job, they’re going to find out that you’re not that person anyway.
So be yourself and be professional at the same time, balance.
4. Know About The Company You’re Trying To Work For
They may or may not ask you about this in the interview, but it’s always highly recommended to learn about the company because it shows interest.
Learn about their background, when they were founded, how long they’ve been around, and of course what they do (you should already have a good idea of this one).
5. Know About The Position You Applied For
Now this is something they’re going to ask you about so be ready.
Thoroughly learn about the position you’re applying for and go ahead and prepare for some questions such as:
- What makes you a good candidate for this position?
- What do you intend to bring to the table for this position?
- What are your strengths?
- What are some of your weaknesses?
Pro Tip: Also be prepared for the annoying open-ended questions such as “Tell me about yourself”. I absolutely HATE this question, but 9/10 they’re going to ask so be prepared.
6. Ask Questions
Don’t be afraid to ask questions.
Asking questions will set you apart from your competition. Of course, make sure the questions are professional and related to the business.
When I asked questions in my interview I usually:
- Get the job
- Hear the interviewer tell me most people don’t ask questions
If you don’t know what to ask then don’t worry about it, but if you have questions to ask then ask them. Just make sure you keep it professional.
When in doubt, be professional.
7. Follow The Flow Of The Interviewer
Last but not least you want to follow the flow of the interviewer. Some interviewers are going to be more relaxed and others are more rigid.
If they’re more relaxed, then you relax BUT still be professional.
If they’re more rigid, then ONLY be professional. I don’t recommend you being rigid because it might make you more nervous, but again, when in doubt, be professional.
