Your self-esteem and self-confidence pretty much affect every area of your life from your relationships to your performance.
To have self confidence is to feel secure with yourself despite the perception that others have of you. Manifesting self confidence does not mean having the most expensive clothes or bragging rights.
It’s about feeling good about who you are, what you’re good at, and even what you’re not so good at.
Having this level of security is important because it helps you live the life you were truly meant to live, rather than living a life other people determine for you.

There are 12 tips on how to manifest confidence; however, I only recommend starting with a few and maybe even one at a time. The reason why is because I believe this will set you up for success in the long-run rather than trying to do a bunch of things at once and getting burned out.
Manifesting confidence will not happen overnight. Like most things, it is a gradual process that happens overtime. So, be patient and give yourself some grace sometimes.
1. Try Visualizing Yourself Manifesting Confidence
Visualizing your confidence manifestation is going to look something like this:
- Go to a quiet room or space
- Close your eyes or look at your vision board
- Imagine yourself in an environment where you’re successful at being confident and it’s natural
- Focus on those feelings of being joyful, secure, successful, optimistic, etc
Visualization can be an extremely powerful tool in almost anything. It’s not just exclusive to manifesting because the art of visualizing is simple: imagine yourself being successful at something.
When I visualize, it helps me to be kind of creative and even focus on smaller details. For example if I want to visualize myself traveling to another country, I focus on how I would feel when I’m on vacation as well as who I would be with, where I would be (on the beach or in the mountains), what I would be doing, what I would be wearing etc. Just be a little creative with it. 2.Take Good Care Of Your Body
A part of learning how to manifest confidence is learning how to take better care of yourself both inside and out.
A few easy ways to take better care of yourself include:
- Taking time each morning to be by yourself
- Reading a good book
- Avoiding negative self-talk
- Being kinder to yourself
- Doing yoga or taking a walk
- Drinking plenty of water throughout the day
While these examples may seem small I promise they amount to amazing results over time. Incorporating more time to take care of yourself will not only greatly benefit your self-esteem but it will also benefit your relationships.

- (this could be your breath, a prayer, or a phrase such as “I am”)
- Close your eyes
- Breathe in through your nose
- Breathe out through your mouth
- When your mind wanders, put your focus on your breath
To be completely honest with you, this is something that I aim to do every day but there are still periods in my life where I choose a different wellness activity such as yoga or taking a walk.

4. Surround Yourself With People Who Have Good Vibes
If you want to figure out how to manifest confidence you have to start by asking yourself, “Who have I surrounded myself with?”
The birds of a feather flock together, so if you surround yourself with 6 low vibrational, lazy, unmotivated, and insecure people then you will be the 7th.
I know that may sound a bit harsh but the truth isn’t always pleasant.
Sometimes it’s best to be alone for a little bit, focus on healing, and then start to meet people who are better aligned with what you want in life, rather than being around people just because they’re familiar to you.

5. Give More Compliments To Manifest Self Confidence
If you are looking to receive more compliments from people then you have to give more compliments to people and yourself.
You get what you give.
Giving compliments freely has also been known to boost your self-esteem and improve your communication with others.
You don’t have to do this every single day, but I suggest starting with complimenting a different person each week. Not only will it make you feel better but it will also make them feel better too!
6. Focus On The Characteristics That You Appreciate About Yourself
Many of us can relate to getting on a “positive” feedback loop where you start with one thing you don’t like, then you start to think about another thing you don’t like, and then another, and then another.
This is also the main principle of the law of attraction; what you focus on is what you attract.
So if this is true, then ideally you want to focus on what you currently love about yourself rather than what you don’t currently love about yourself. Thinking back to times where you have been confident is another great way to tap into those feelings of confidence and joy.
If you feel like you don’t have anything that makes you feel confident right now then just try to find one characteristic.
I can go first! One thing I appreciate about you is that you’re committed enough to bettering your life. That comes with a drive that many people don’t have, my friend.

Smiling has been proven to immediately lift your spirits and better your mood.
Laughing also has positive effects on the body including increasing your mood, decreasing stress, and even strengthening your immune system.
And the good thing about smiling is that it is free yet it still has a lasting effect for both you and those around you.

Being confident is all about feeling secure in yourself and feeling good. And what better way to feel good than to laugh or smile, especially with your favorite people?
8. Build On The Things That You’re Already Good At
If you want to learn how to manifest confidence you must continue to build the talents or skills that you’re currently good at.
Don’t switch up every 6 months and try to find the next best solution or the next trendy thing to make you feel prettier because that’s not what confidence is about.
Confidence is feeling secure in who you are, what you’re good at, what you’re bad at, and how the world perceives you.
9. Avoid Trying To Fit In
When you actively try to fit into something, chances are it isn’t the right place for you.
If you’ve found yourself in a group of friends where you have to change core things about yourself, then that’s not your tribe.
If you find yourself in an environment where you don’t feel comfortable to be yourself or push yourself, you need to start entering different spaces.
Surround yourself with people who inspire, motivate, uplift, or challenge you (in a healthy way).
When you’re in the spaces you’re meant to be in you won’t have to overcompensate; it will just come naturally.
10. Practice Saying No More
Saying “no” is a crucial part of learning how to manifest confidence and life in general.
You shouldn’t go through life saying “yes” to everything and everyone because at what point are you going to have time for yourself and your goals?
It’s awesome to spread kindness and lend a helping hand, but it’s also awesome to say “no” sometimes.

The best time to say it is when you feel like saying it. Putting your needs first sometimes does not make you a selfish person. It makes you a person who values your time and takes care of yourself.
If you have a hard time practicing this here are some alternatives you can say:
- Thank you for asking, but I’m not going to be able to.
- Can we plan this another time?
- No, thank you.
- I don’t have time at the moment.
I also suggest journaling about why you have a hard time saying No. This could be due to:
- A fear of disappointing others
- Seeking the approval of others
- Fear of missing out or not fitting in
11. Avoid Over-Using Unnecessary Filler Words
Words such as:
- Just
- Like
- Um
Most of the time these words automatically diminish your point.
For example, instead of saying, “I just wanted to talk to you” you can say, “I wanted to talk with you. Do you have a few minutes?” or instead of saying “Can we like go to like something more lowkey” you can say, “Do you mind if we do something more lowkey?”
Do you see what I mean here?
I know it may take a little effort at first, and I’m also not saying that you have to be serious 24/7, but if you want to be/appear more confident then you want to present yourself in a way like you know what you’re talking about.
12. Don’t Chase Just Do The Work
I know most of you have probably heard the saying, “Don’t chase, attract”. Although this saying might have finally crossed the threshold of being cliche, it still holds true.
When you chase something you come from a desperate place and you know what happens when you’re desperate?
You get desperate results.
It’s when you put in the work and do the small daily actions, is when your goals start to turn into a reality. You will learn how to manifest confidence.
You don’t have to chase. As long as you’re willing to do the work, the rest will fall into place.

The Basics Of Manifestation
1. Get Specific About What You Want To Manifest
The first major step to manifesting is getting specific about what you want. After all, you can’t achieve a goal if you don’t even know what the goal is.
You want to ask yourself the right questions.
What are the right questions? Questions that aren’t too general and get to the root cause. (Can you say the word “question” 10x fast? I can’t)
Anyways, in this case, you’re manifesting confidence so you want to ask yourself things such as:
- What is an event in my life that has shifted the way I view myself?
- When do I feel the most confident?
- Who do I feel the most confident around?
- What am I looking for when I say “I want to be confident”?
- Do I want to dress better?
- Am I aiming to take better care of myself mentally, physically, or both?
- Do I want to impress more people?
Pro Tip: Writing down your answer is a better way of sorting through questions like this because you’ll notice that your answer is more complex than you thought it would be. Writing things down on paper is also an awesome way to organize your thoughts.
2. Visualize Your Manifestation
Visualization is the act of intentionally imagining your goals. The basics of visualization are:
- Choose a quiet space
- Set a timer for at least 2 minutes
- Close your eyes
- Imagine yourself already achieving your goal (try to be a bit detailed)
The purpose of doing this is to put yourself in the headspace of you already having your goals which will then motivate you.
When done regularly, visualization has been proven to be almost as effective as taking physical actions toward your goals.
So when you take time to visualize regularly and consistently you are essentially training your mind for your goal/desire. Many successful people have even attributed the act of visualizing being a key role in their success.
3. Write Down Your Goals/Desires
Writing down your goals is another great way to keep your goals at the front of your mind and manifest self confidence.
I have found the best time of day to do this is in the morning or right before bed.
I prefer writing 3 things I’m grateful for, my top 3 priorities for the day, and my long-term goal in the morning.
It’s a great way to sort out your thoughts and set yourself up for success for the rest of the day.
4. Practice Acceptance
A large part of manifesting your desires is being able to let go of the final outcome. This is important because when you rigidly hold onto something you are coming from a desperate place.
You don’t want to be desperate (for many reasons) because it actually pushes you further away from your goal.
Learn how to accept the things you cannot change so you can use your energy to change the things you can.
It’s okay to have a clear goal in mind but also be just as willing to accept the opportunities that come your way, even if it’s not what you originally envisioned.
5. Use Affirmations
Using affirmations is another great way to keep your goals at the front of your mind and release unnecessary negative thoughts that do not serve you.
The best time to use affirmations is in the morning, but if you happen to forget or don’t want to use them in the morning then you can also use them throughout the day.
Affirmations are the only thing that I’ve been able to be consistent with for years. I will admit I am not the best at committing to things long-term, but I will say affirmations were something that worked for me.

6. Use A Vision Board
Vision boards are a fun and easy way to manifest your dreams. They’re cheap to make and they’re extremely inspiring.
And since you’re aiming to manifest self confidence specifically you would want to add pictures of confident people, including pictures of yourself where you felt confident.
I keep mine in my room but you can also keep yours in your workspace, on desktop wallpaper, or anywhere where you’ll really look at it.
I got all of my pictures off Pinterest and went to my local CVS to print them off. I got my floppy blackboard from the Dollar Store.
Pro Tip: Arrange all of your pictures on the blackboard before you start taping them (learned this the hard way). I also recommend using double-sided tape because I have found that it works better than regular tape.
7. Be Committed
Last but certainly not least, you have to stay committed. If you don’t stay committed, then none of this will be worth it.
You will have days where you don’t feel your best and you will have days where you’re not motivated. This is to be expected.
You just have to give your best each day. Your best will look different from day to day, but as long as you’re putting in the effort and taking action then the rest will fall into place.
I personally used to struggle with staying committed to things long-term. I would either grow tired of it or want to move on to something new just because it caught my attention.
However, I learned that if I kept letting myself never finish anything then I wouldn’t accomplish anything in life.
I did not want this for myself and I don’t want this for you.
Something I learned along the way that really helped me is that it’s not motivation that leads to action; it’s action that leads to motivation.
On those days when you don’t feel like doing anything, just commit to 5 minutes of work. It doesn’t seem like much but those 5 minutes will amount to more than doing nothing at all.
Plus those 5 minutes will probably turn into 20 minutes which will probably turn into an hour and then you’ll look up and realize you did way more work than you anticipated.
