How Often To Choose Your Affirmation Card
Depending on which affirmation card deck you choose, it will give you a suggestion on how often to choose them.
But to be completely honest with you, I don’t follow the rules (most of the time).
If something feels right to me, then I’m going with that, even if I was instructed otherwise.
So, I recommend choosing your affirmation cards for whatever feels right to you. If your box tells you to choose a new one every day and you decide you want to choose a new one every other day, then you can.
If you want to stick with what the box says and choose a new affirmation card each day, then you can.
There is no set way on how to use affirmation cards. You do what feels right to you; that is how you will get the best results.
So with that being said, let’s get into the 3 different ways that you can use your affirmation cards.
1. Chose An Affirmation Card Daily
Choosing a new affirmation card each day is the most common way I’ve seen people use affirmation cards.
Simply pick your card from the top of your deck for that day and place it somewhere you can see it.
If you pick an affirmation card that doesn’t resonate with you that day then put it back in the pile and pick a new one for the day.
2. Choose An Affirmation Card Weekly
Sometimes, you may pick a card that resonates with you for a few days, and if this is the case then feel free to do your affirmation card for the week instead of for the day.
When you’re ready, pick a new card for the week.
3. Choose An Affirmation Card And Leave It Up For However Long
Now, if you’re anything like me, this might be an option that better suits you. Feel free to pick your affirmation card and leave it up for however long you need it.
Again, there are no set rules on how to use affirmation cards.
You may not intentionally do this (leave your affirmation card up for longer than a week) but it happens sometimes.
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve picked an affirmation card and left it because I either forgot about it or because it just really stuck with me and I didn’t want to change it.

How To Use Affirmation Cards
Now that we know how often you can choose your affirmation cards, let’s get into how to use affirmation cards.
You don’t have to do all 5 of these methods, but it’s there for you to have multiple options to choose from.
1. Repeat The Affirmation Out Loud
One of the most common ways to use affirmation cards is to repeat them in the morning, at night, or both.
You can say your affirmation in the mirror, as you’re getting ready for the day, or as you’re winding down for the day.
2. Meditate On Your Affirmation Card
Another way you can use your affirmation card is to meditate on it. Choose your card for the day, set your meditation timer, and meditate on the message for the day.
3. Write It In Your Journal
Writing your affirmation is another way you can use your affirmation cards. You can write it on a blank piece of paper or you can journal about your affirmation card.
Some of the things you can journal about with your affirmation card are:
- How it made you feel when you read it
- What you take away from the card
- How you want to practice that card for the day
4. Put It Somewhere You’ll See It
I highly suggest putting your affirmation card somewhere you’ll see it. You can stick your affirmation card in the mirror, on your dresser, or your desk.
I typically stick mine in the top right corner or my mirror but anywhere works.
5. A Combination Of The Few
The last way that you can use your affirmation cards is to do a combination of the few that I just listed above.
I recommend combining 1 and 4, but any combination of the few works really.
It’s about what works best for you.
Conclusion On How To Use Affirmation Cards
So there you have it, that’s how to use affirmation cards.
Again, don’t overthink this too much. Choose the method that seems to suit you the most, and if it turns out it doesn’t then just try another method!
